If you are using ReachOut with a Google password (that is, a Google G-Suite or Google Workspace email), you will need to create what is called a Google App Password. You can follow these instructions.
OK, step 1, after logging into your Gmail account on your browser, click on your profile icon in the upper right, and click "Manage your Google Account":
On the left side, click on "Security", and scroll down to "Signing in to Google".
If you don't have "2-Step Verification" enabled, you need to enable it now (yes, ReachOut requires this!) Google supports a number of options, but probably the easiest is to use SMS for verification.
Once this is done, and 2-Step Verification is enabled, go back to your "Security" page. You should now see a list entry for "App passwords", like this:
Click on "App passwords", You'll see a screen that looks like this:
For "Select app", pick "Mail", and for "Select device", choose "Mac" or "Windows Computer" (it really doesn't matter for ReachOut). Then click "Generate". You'll see a screen that looks like the one below.
You can ignore the "How to use it" instructions, we just need the 16 character password for ReachOut. Copy this and put it in a safe place. This is the Google App Password that you'll enter in the ReachOut popup dialog.
